“Feeling gratitude and not expressing it is like wrapping a present and not giving it.”
-William Arthur Ward

This time of year affords us the opportunity to reflect on all we are thankful for and today I’d like to take a few moments to express my gift of gratitude to our team, clients and my family and friends. People are the fabric of our lives and it is the relationships with these people with whom we interact each day that we appreciate.

It is not an accident that we have embraced these five Core Values at Torch Group that reflect who we are and the fact that we operate around an environment of gratitude and appreciation. So giving thanks is something we do every day-not just at Thanksgiving.

1. Caring: We care about and appreciate our clients, candidates, our company, and teammates.
2. Integrity: We are trustworthy and honest and always do the right thing.
3. Thoughtful: We are consultative, strategic problem solvers. We think before we act and create true partnerships by listening and being open and considerate of many views.
4. Driven: We strive for excellence in all that we do and try never to disappoint.
5. Team Oriented: We encourage an open, collaborative environment with people who enjoy working together to achieve mutual goals.

Thankful for our team – We are thankful to our team for making Torch Group a great place to work and keeping our company moving forward. We’re so thankful for all they have done for our business this year, and their hard work and dedication has helped us reach many of our company-wide goals for the year. We have had a great 2019 and have enjoyed team-building activities this year that have provided opportunities for our team to develop and build strong bonds with one another. My favorite event this year was our team scavenger hunt in Cleveland, OH. It was a beautiful fall day and we had two teams facing off and competing to win essentially nothing. Just the notion of winning alone was enough for our team to be motivated to complete each scavenger hunt challenge.

Thankful for our clients – I want to share our heartfelt appreciation for our wonderful clients this Thanksgiving. Our team has really enjoyed serving our valued customers who appreciate our hard work and transparent partnership approach. Without our clients we would not be where we are today. We are thankful for the opportunity to learn about your business, company culture, and helping each of you fill your hiring needs with top talent.

Thankful for family – It goes without saying that I am humbled to have such a wonderful family. I have a wonderful wife and business partner and three sons who I am very proud of. They are all successful individuals who unsurprisingly share the same Core Values that the Torch Group lives by each and every day. Together, my family has made me who I am today.

Conclusion – Thank you for taking a few moments to read about a few of the things for which I am truly thankful this Thanksgiving season. As 2019 comes to a close over the next few weeks, I hope you enjoy the holiday season with those you love, and I wish you a prosperous New Year ahead!
